Lin had been working with larger state-owned enterprises and listed companies as director of legal affairs, from which she gained quite a lot of experience in dealing with corporate legal affairs, as well as commercial and civil issues. Lin has been practicing in foreign-related sectors such as maritime and aviation industries for more than ten years, and she has participated in hundreds of foreign-related cases. She was an expert in dealing with civil and commercial disputes such as those concerning pollution at sea, collision of ships, salvage of wrecks, salvage at sea, marine insurance, and contract of carriage of goods by sea. In non-litigation business, Lin participated in the legal due diligence investigation and issued legal opinions for the restructuring of Li Ka-shing of his massive empire in the Chinese market.

Lin graduated from the International Law School of East China University of Political Science and Law with LLB and the Sun Yat-Sen University School of Law with an LLM degree.

Lin has been awarded on many occasions for her excellent performance in work and the delivery of good results for the cases she was handling. These include a third prize for theoretical research in 2010 and a business achievement award in 2011, both awarded by Guangzhou Lawyers Association. Lin was also listed in the first-batch talent pool of foreign-related lawyers by Guangdong Lawyers Association in 2018, the first-batch talent pool of 1000 foreign-related lawyers by the Ministry of Justice in 2019, and the first batch of Guangzhou’s talent pool of foreign-related lawyers in 2021.   

In handling the serial cases involving M/V “ZEUS”, Lin prepared the Case Analysis on the Dispute over Pollution Damages Caused by M/V “ZEUS”, which was included in the Selected Cases of Guangzhou Lawyers by Guangzhou Lawyers Association in 2012. In 2018, the enforcement case Hantrong Investment Co., Ltd. v. Jinming Trade Limited et al. handled by Lin was covered by the program Observation in Morality under the title “Enforcement on the Move -- The Oil Depot Being Sealed” jointly produced by CCTV and the Supreme People’s Court. In 2021, the case of SUMPU and Chen v. Pacific International Lines for dispute over contract of carriage of goods by sea handled by Lin was listed in the third-batch typical cases of cross-border disputes in the Greater Bay Area by the High People’s Court of Guangdong Province.
