Mr. Li Yuming joined JunHe in 2014 and is currently based in our Guangzhou office. Prior to joining JunHe, Mr. Li was an associate at Global Law Office. He has represented many foreign-invested banks, trust companies and borrowers in their structured financing, real estate property development/acquisition finance, asset finance and cross-border asset-based lending transactions.
Since joining JunHe, Mr. Li has focused on the field of banking and finance and has been significantly involved in the areas of special situation/opportunity investment, disposal of non-performing assets, debt-restructuring of distressed enterprises and FDI. Mr. Li has assisted state-owned asset management companies and private capital management companies in completing dozens of deals involving the acquisition or transfer of non-performing assets, debt restructuring, bankruptcy reorganization, and the debt-for-equity swap of listed companies. He has represented notable overseas special situation funds (such as Bain and Oaktree) in actively making investments in the Chinese NPL market and helping them successfully complete multiple NPL acquisitions and dispositions.

Acted as PRC legal counsel to Wing Lung Bank on its bank facility granted to an oil product manufacturing company in Dongguan

Acted as PRC legal counsel to Hang Seng Bank and its Beijing Branch on their M&A loans granted to a HKSE listed real estate company to acquire equity of a CJV in Beijing

Represented agent bank of a syndication loan for a CJV holding dozens of BMW automobile dealers in China

Provided legal advice and counsel for Beijing Int’l Trust Company and Zhongrong Int’l Trust Company in dozens of trust plans of assembled funds and single trust plans in respect of their trust loans, equity investments and rights to earning investments, with counterparties in fields as infrastructure, real estates, coal mining, etc.

Acted as perennial legal counsel for BOC Guangdong Branch, Chong Hing Bank, a finance leasing company and Guangzhou Office of a major state-owned asset management corporation

Represented multiple foreign banks for their retail business, including legal services for hundreds of personal housing mortgage loans in Beijing

Plenty of experience in establishment, alteration and cancellation of collateral security on real property, project under construction, land (sea area) use rights, equity and machinery

Participated in framework designation with banks and enterprises for their transactions of multiple cross-border loans, RMB/forex capital pools
