In full-time practice since 2002 specialising in all aspects of maritime law and international trade, Huang has handled numerous complex, influential and typical cases, including a number of landmark cases in the history of maritime judicial practice and foreign-related legal services in China. He was lead counsel in matters selected for Top 10 Landmark Cases of the Year and Top 10 Typical Maritime Cases of the Year by the Supreme People’s Court, GAZETTE OF THE SUPREME PEOPLE’S COURT, Guiding Cases of the Supreme People’s Court, Lloyd’s Law Reports, Chinese Maritime and Commercial Law Reports, Top 10 Typical Marine Traffic Accidents 2010-2020 released by the Ministry of Transportation, Typical Cross-border Disputes in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Ten Typical Cases of Mutual Enforcement of Arbitral Awards between Mainland China and the HKSAR, and Outstanding Cases of Legal Services in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Greater Bay Area 2019 -2022，and Typical Cases on the Application of International Treaties and International Practices in Foreign-related Civil and Commercial Cases by the Supreme People’s Court 2023.

4. In 2014, his paper entitled "An Analysis on Beneficiaries under Ship Insurance Contracts" received "Excellent Paper Awards" in the essay writing contest for the Fifth Guangdong High-level Maritime Forum.

In 2016, his paper entitled "An Exploration on the Application of Law to Dispute arising from Employment Salvage Contract- based on the case Archangelos Gabriel" was awarded the third prize in the essay writing contest for the "2016 International Symposium on Maritime Law and High-end Forum on International Shipping Laws and Policies". 

6. In 2018, his paper entitled "A Study on the Validity of Extraterritorial Arbitration Agreements" was awarded the second prize in the essay writing contest for the 2018 Annual Maritime Law Forum by Guangzhou Maritime Judges Association and Guangzhou Lawyers Association

7. In 2018, awarded "Top 10 Guangzhou Lawyers in Foreign-related Matters" (an award specially established by Guangzhou Lawyers Association in celebration of its 30th anniversary)
