The no criminal record notarization is the act carried out by the notary public institute based on application of a Chinese citizen or a foreigner who used to live in China to notarize the legal facts that the Chinese citizen or the foreigner has had no criminal record during the period when they were living within the People's Republic of China.
Special Notes:
★ The following list of materials is for reference only as specific materials may be required based on your case and requirements of notaries public.
★ The provision of certifying materials shall be originals and corresponding number of photocopies, unless otherwise specified. The photocopies shall be complete and clear and in conformity with the original (as for ID Card, the front and the reverse side shall both be copied).
★ Address of the "One Business Package" Joint Outlet for handling No Criminal Record and Notarial Certificate (Overseas Bound): No. 42, Cangbian Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City.
The following materials are required for handling no criminal record notarization:
I. Identity materials of the applicant
① Those who hold household register of Guangzhou City shall provide original ID Card and household register;
② Those who used to hold household register of Guangzhou City shall provide original ID Card or Passport, and certificate for deregistering the household register;
③ Those who temporarily reside in Guangzhou City shall provide original ID Card and Resident Permit;
④ Those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, China shall provide original ID Card, valid certificate of exit and entry, and temporary residence registration form for personnel come from outside Chinese mainland;
⑤ Foreigners (who have lived for 6 months in Guangdong) shall provide current foreign passport, information materials recorded in the foreign passport which is used during the application for no criminal record, and temporary residence registration form for personnel come from outside Chinese mainland; any permanent resident permit for foreigners living in the People's Republic of China shall be provided along with the above materials.
II. The application for no criminal record notarization is to be made by the party who intends to prove himself or herself free of criminal record. Where a close relative is entrusted to handle the application on behalf of the party concerned, the original Power of Attorney, the Kinship Certificate and the ID Card of the attorney shall be provided; where a distant relative is entrusted to handle the application on behalf of the party concerned, the original entrustment notarial certificate and the ID Card of the attorney shall be provided.
III. Other certifying materials deemed necessary by the notary public office.
